Metallica have announced that this year’s Helping Hands Concert & Auction will take place on December 13th at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. The benefit event will once again be hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel. The Helping Hands Concert & Auction is a fundraiser for Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which uses charitable financial donations to help fight against hunger, provide disaster relief, and aid in workforce education. Other than Metallica and Jimmy Kimmel’s involvement, no other special guests have been announced as of yet, but the band promises that other guests will be announced soon.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating the achievements of All Within My Hands together with you, live and in person,” Metallica said in a press release for the benefit. “We have an exciting night planned, along with some amazing items and experiences that will be auctioned off, all to benefit the Foundation. As always, 100% of ticket and auction proceeds go directly to those in need.” Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 26, at 10 AM PDT. (Consequence of Sound)
